Hi! My name is Emily. I am co-founder and Director of Strive. I work as a coach for adolescents and young adults who have a neurodiversity or just need a bit of extra support, whether in the classroom or at home.
I am particularly passionate about ADHD, dyscalculia and ODD. I have a diagnosis of ADHD and dyscalculia myself, and struggled through my teenage years without a diagnosis and subsequent support. I find that this experience helps me to connect with my clients in a meaningful way. It is important to me that everyone who I work with feels safe and understood - and I act as an advocate for our young people and their families on a daily basis.
I first got into coaching a few years ago, after having received coaching first hand when I was diagnosed with ADHD. After running my own private coaching practice since then, I decided I wanted to help on a wider scale, and so, Sal and I set off on our mission to set up Strive.
Alongside coaching, I have worked in various education and community health support roles for more than 6 years - with a range of age groups, from Key Stage 1 up to post-secondary education settings.
My mission is to provide in depth support to young people, their families and teachers. Drawing on my lived experience and education, I continue to develop the best coaching practice and hold out a helping hand to others like me. Together, we can work through difficult times and build everlasting techniques for independence and fulfilment.
I look forward to working with you!
Emily

I'm Sal, co-founder and Director of Strive. With a background in education and a passion for guiding students through life's challenges, I'm not just a teacher, but also a coach who specialises in helping students dealing with anxiety, depression, and neurodiversity.
Over the past twenty-five years, I've witnessed the struggles that students and their families face when juggling academic demands alongside life's unexpected curveballs. I've always seen beyond the surface, going beyond the "naughty child" stereotype to help my students cultivate confidence and self-belief.
The COVID-19 lockdown brought into focus the crucial role that schools play in providing stability for these students' development. Simultaneously, it revealed the immense power of coaching to foster positive change. Yet, I realised that we must think bigger and broader. It's not just about coaching students; it's about transforming the entire ecosystem around them. That includes families, friends, teachers, and, down the line, even employers.
Together with Emily, we created Strive, committed to making coaching a lifelong journey that leaves an indelible mark. It's time to embrace a holistic approach and coach the entire person and family. Join us in this transformative endeavour, where change is not just a moment but a lifelong promise.
I look forward to meeting you!
Sal
